Membership Requirements

G.O.C.A. has two types of memberships:

REGULAR MEMBERS—

  • Are prime contractors engaged in manufacturing or providing services
    (other than offset services)
  • Are subcontractors who supply components or services (other than offset services)
  • Have incurred or anticipate incurring an offset or countertrade obligation as a condition of sale, and such offset or countertrade obligation is imposed by a customer (or prime contractor) located in a country other than that where the contractor or subcontractor is based
  • Include corporate groups of affiliated companies which meet the criteria for either prime contractors or subcontractors mentioned above.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERS—

  • Are individual people or business entities who do not meet the criteria for Regular Membership
  • Are engaged, anticipate engaging, or may benefit in the business of offset or countertrade.

Organization Information

G.O.C.A. encompasses the following services and benefits:

  • Networking with people who have countertrade or offset business;
  • Annual Training Seminars;
  • Educational seminars presented at each semi-annual conference;
  • Speaker Bureau comprising executives who are available to make countertrade/offset presentations.

Meetings:

  • Held semi-annually in the spring and fall;
  • Meeting registration fees are approximately $600 and include the cost of meals, meeting rooms and speakers;
  • World Conference held every two years.

Annual dues are $450 per year for either Regular or Associate Membership.
