Company Representatives are encouraged to apply or suggest other candidates from their companies for a position on one or more of our committees. The applicant should be able to commit time and effort to this committee assignment. The activities and benefits of GOCA membership are primarily developed and implemented by our volunteer committees and EC members. Active committee members are eligible to be nominated to future EC openings.
The application materials must include:
- Completed and signed Application Form (Note: If selected, applicant will be required to sign GOCA Conflict of Interest and Code of Ethics forms.)
- Applicant’s current vita/résumé
- Applicant’s statement of why he/she is interested to serve on a GOCA committee

Conference Management Committee: The Conference Management Committee will support the activities of the Director of Conferences to evaluate possible meeting venues, manage our relationship with those venues, and help to provide recommendations to the EC for meeting locations. Members of this committee will also serve as Hosts for at least one meeting per year, and help to identify and approach relevant speakers that will strengthen the content of our GOCA meetings.
Legal Committee: The Legal Committee will be responsible for monitoring and communicating legal issues of interest to our Association and our Members.
Membership & Publicity Committee: The Membership & Publicity Committee will be responsible for membership, work to attract and vet new members who will strengthen our Industrial Partnership community. In addition, the Membership Committee will be responsible for publicizing and sending out information about our conferences and the Association.
Training Committee: The Training Committee will be responsible for developing and maintaining world class and relevant training programs for our members to participate in at GOCA conferences and perhaps at specialized training gatherings.
Website Committee: The Website committee will be responsible for making sure that the Website is offering appropriate support and information to our members in a professional manner. The website committee will work closely with the Secretariat and offer support to the Secretariat as needed to make sure that the website is an effective marketing tool for the GOCA.
